Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website or web application. They are widely used to make services work, or to work more efficiently.
The OrcNet Control Centre uses strictly necessary session cookies only. These are essential for the system to function — without them you cannot log in or navigate between pages.
We do not use:
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
session (or similar) |
Maintains your authenticated login session so you do not have to log in on every page. | Strictly Necessary | Session (deleted when browser closes) |
Note: If your version of the Control Centre uses a differently named session cookie, the name above may differ. The purpose and type remain the same.
Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR, strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent as they are essential to deliver the service you have requested. We still inform you about them in the interest of transparency.
You can delete or block cookies via your browser settings. Be aware that blocking the session cookie will prevent you from logging in to the Control Centre.
